Our swimmers, who represented Istanbul, carried our province to the finals. The “Anatolian Stars League (ANALİG)” semi-final races, held in Kocaeli on 11-12 March, witnessed 550 swimmers from 12 provinces compete to reach the finals.
10 Modafen boys and girls swimmers successfully represented Istanbul in the mix. Grade 6 student, Ceyda Özcan, won third place on the podium with a fantastic performance in the 50m backstroke. By improving their times since the group stages in Bursa, our students in the girls’ team carried our province to third place, and consequently the finals.
The Girls’ Istanbul Swimming Team will compete in the final of the Turkish Championship in Çanakkale on 1-2 April. We congratulate our swimming team students and wish them success in the finals.
