Our 4th grade students made a visit to the Çekmeköy Town Hall as part of the “learning the local governance” topic in “People and Governance” unit during their social studies lessons. In the Conference Hall, assistant to the Mayor, Ahmet Epli, informed our students about the duties of the municipality, the role of the local governance in carrying out public utility, and the effect of public opinion on the local governance. The Municipal Police Director and the Town Clerk also spoke about their jobs. Students asked questions and received answers.
