Seven Modafen High School students participated in their first ever Model Government Europe (EMGE) conference from April 21 to April 23. MGE is a simulation of European Government similar to Model United Nations (MUN). Students take the roles of Ministers in various European Government Ministries and then debate pertinent current world topics, both in their own country cabinet as well as in cabinets with other countries’ ministries.
Our students, Beliz Aydin, Begum Cikrikcioglu, Ece Colpan, Berk Durusan, Selin Seckin, Dogucan Tasoren and Ena Can, competed with about 50 other students in the three day event. All of our students showed off their knowledge of English as well as knowledge of current world events.
