Modafen is at Yalova Yürüyen Köşk with 4th Graders

Modafen, which have organized many different school trips within 2016, were at the Yürüyen Kösk Yalova with their 4th graders.

The first stop of the trip, which took place on 16th November, was the  “Yürüyen Köşk” of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk who used to say “Yalova: my city”. Our students who visited the mansion under the guidance of their guides had the chance of seeing Atatürk’s personal belongings. The 290 year old plane tree drew the attention of our students since the basis of the mansion had been moved 4m towards the East just to protect it as Atatürk put a special importance on nature.

After taking group photographs under the plane tree and the mansion, we set off towards our second stop: Atatürk Köşkü. The guides showed our students Atatürk’s personal belongings and they commemorated Atatürk once again. They also saw the rooms of Atatürk’s sister, Makbule Atadan, his adopted daughters, Afet İnan and Sabiha Gökçen – the first woman pilot in Turkey.  We then visited the “Atatürk ve Çocuk Müzesi” and the students learnt about Atatürk’s relationship with children and the lives of his adopted children.

The Yalova trip ended with the joy of having seen the places where the Founder of Turkish republic M. Kemal Atatürk lived.
