Within the framework of the 52nd Library Week Activities, our school’s Turkish Literature Department have organized a trip with our 6th grade students to Sabancı University Library.
One of the main aims of our trip was to teach the value of book love, to help them understand that the taste of reading cannot be compared to anything else in the world, and that the place of reading in our life is invaluable. We also wanted to emphasize how our best friend, reading, improves a person imagination.
Having the above mentioned aims in our minds, we showed our students how the publishing equipment had changed over time. We analysed how we had reached digital e-books from the drawings on the walls.
As Modafen Family, we wholeheartedly believe that libraries, which hold lots of information and many documents carrying the cultural heritage of the country in the form of printed books, handwritings, maps and pictures, are one of our most important treasures.
