Students from our 6th and 8th Grades were in Çanakkale to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Battle of Çanakkale and the soldiers who died during the battle. We visited the sites where our national pride and belief were victorious and where our soldiers fell in battle.
Our students and teachers departed from the Modafen Campus at 5am. After a pleasant journey on the Tekirdağ-Şarköy road, we arrived at historical peninsula of Gelibolu. We visited Kilitbahir Castle, Corporal Seyit, Martyrs Monument, Kanlı Sırt and the 57th Legion Cemetery which was built for our legendary heroes. Then, we visited Conkbayiri Monument in Mehmetcik Park, a symbol of a hand praying to God, and war shelters. We went to Alcitepe village, Morto Bay and Anzak Bay. With the information we got from our tour guide and our teachers, we finished our day. We went to Canakkale by ferryboat and went to our hotel. We had dinner at our hotel.
On the second day, after visiting Alcitepe village, Morto Bay and Anzak Bay, we set off on our journey back. We had dinner at Tekirday Koftecisi. We arrived at Modafen campus in the evening and ended our trip here.
