23rd of April National Sovereignty and Children’s Day is a day which was not only gifted to Turkish children but also to the children of the world. We got together in the Conference Hall to enthusiastically celebrate this meaningful day.
The children took the stage at the ceremony.
The ceremony started with our School Principle Mehmet Durak’s speech on the meaning and importance of the day. After our primary school teacher Fatma Koçak’s speech, the ceremony continued with a moment of silence and our national anthem.
Our little 1st grade students recited poems and our 2nd grade students performed a dance show. Then, the ceremony continued with our second foreign language students’ poems. There were emotional moments when “A Day with My Leader” composition, poem and story writing competition winners, Henna Zeynep Tansuğ, Şimal Savaş, Aslı Demir, Maya Arseven, and Sinan Kunkut, received their awards.
The ceremony continued with songs sang in different languages, poems read by our 4th grade students, the play prepared by 3rd grade students, and the 23rd of April songs sang by our choir. Our students fully enjoyed this precious day, which is a gift from our leader Atatürk.
