Modafen celebrated the 27^th March Theatre Day as a Theatre Week.

The World Theatre Day is accepted by people in the theatre world as the day to celebrate the power of drama to bring people together, to develop a better communication with the audience, and to create an opportunity to enhance the peace and understanding among people. The activities held during World Theatre Day play an important role in bringing together the local and national theatre groups, in addition to their international functions.

World Theatre Day, celebrated on 27^th March every year, has been joyfully welcomed by Modafen once again. We enjoyed watching Frankenstein together with our students. Our students intensely watched Frankenstein – a visual fest adaptation of the famous novel of Mary Shelley – which they had read at school as part of their English lessons’ curriculum. Living the charm of drama that attracts the audience into the play, together with the excitement of watching a play that they had already worked on in class, helped our students to improve their analytical and thinking skills.

Another activity held within the framework of Theatre Week was organized by Modafen Drama Club. The Modafen Family enjoyed a week full of drama by watching three different plays performed by the Modafen Drama Club. The performances, “Oz Büyücüsü” (The Wizard of Oz), “Charlie’nin Çikolata Fabrikası” (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and “Masal Oyun Misal Oyun”, were performed by students of different age groups and helped the players a lot in terms of stage experience.

On the last day of Theatre Day, Modafen students performed the play that they had prepared for their Destination Imagination activity and were admired by everybody.

Our students who enjoyed the taste of artistic production, shared their unforgettable experience and precious moments with their friends during whole week.
