Gifted to the children of the world by Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day was celebrated with joy by both teachers and students of Modafen.
Our ceremony started in the conference hall with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by our elementary school teacher Nilgün Demirel’s opening speech and the poems, read by our 1st and 2nd grade students. The celebrations peaked with the songs, sung in German, Russian, French and Spanish by our students. Finally, our students sang along to the performance of our school chorus and had immense fun with the percussion team as well.
The excitement and the glow in our students’ eyes were definitely a sight to be seen during the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, which was Atatürk’s great gift to children.
