The trip organized for the spring vacation was to Scandinavia and Baltic Sea this year. The first stop of our trip was Helsinki in Finland. Helsinki which is also knwn as “The Country of White Lilies” offered us a lot of beauties including the Senate Square, Government Building and Parliament Building.

We visited Uspenskji, the largest Orthodox cathedral in Western Europe, with its golden fretted dome and red brick face completed in 1868. After we had seen the New Opera House, the National Theater Building with magnificent architecture, Aleksanterinkatu from the 19^th century and the main square, Helsinki Cathedral, Market Square Kauppatori, granitite Central Railway Station, Sibelius Park and the world famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius Monument, we went down to harbour to see the magnificent architectural example of houses and boats. In Tallinn, the second stop of the trip; we had a wonderful day as we visited Town Hall Square, Freedom Square, Nicholas Church, Parliament Building, Danish King’s Garden, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, City Wall Tallinn’s Toompea Castle. Tallinn and the magnificent Tallinn scenery were filled with cobbled streets, chateaux, castle walls and historic buildings in the old part of the medieval city. On the third day, after breakfast in the morning, we set of for Finnish city of Porvoo. This small charming town about 50 km east of Helsinki is a bohemian little town with cobblestone streets, its unique architecture, charming houses, narrow streets, galleries, boutiques, and cafes. Then we checked into our cabins on the Viking Line ship, and the cruise to Europe’s most beautiful city, known as the “Handsome City”, – Stockholm – started. Established in between 14 islands and rocky island areas, Stockholm is a great city with cobbled streets, northern architecture, and typical Scandinavian buildings.

The trip ended with great joy and happiness.
