On the 75th Anniversary of our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s death, a program in memory of Atatürk was held in our school. At the beginning of the program, the students left flowers in the Atatürk corner, the flags were lowered to half-mast, and then there was a minute of silence. After the minute of silence and the National Anthem, our teachers, Sema Esen and Selda Terek, made speeches expressing their gratitude towards Atatürk.
After the speeches, our students, who are the protectors of the priceless present Atatürk left us, took the stage. Our students recited poems reflecting the love in their hearts. Our teachers followed after the students. Mert Yılmaz and İlknur Aydemir recited “Gidiyor”, before Ersan Tekin recited “Mustafa Kemal Seslense”. The Ceremony came to an end after “Sarı Zeybek” video, and Atatürk’s favourite songs were sung by our school choir.
