Children’s and youth theatres exist for creative and enlightened individuals of tomorrow, who have a passion for arts, do not experience communication problems and express themselves, within the society.
To that end, we at Modafen introduce productions that are acclaimed worldwide, became classics and received prestigious awards – those that have not been staged on professional theatres before, as well as scripts that have not been translated yet with different stage decors to children, who are growing up with the awareness of making a difference.
This year, once again, a Broadway classic was staged. Inspired from both the movie and the musical, The Lion King was performed by our students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. Receiving a standing ovation, the play was quite liked by our students and parents. The play “Calypso the Hero”, based on Samed Behrengi’s “Little Black Fish” was staged, on the other hand, by our 1st and 2nd graders. Despite their young ages, our students put an outstanding performance on the stage, becoming giants and ringing the halls with applauds. Furthermore, our junior high theatre club students acquired an amazing stage experience with the collage “The Whole World is a Stage”, consisting of theatre classics worldwide, while our English theatre club did the same with Roald Dahl’s story, “Fantastic Mr. Fox”.
As Modafen family, we would like to congratulate our students, while sharing the excitement and happiness of supporting them in each and every artistic field.
