Our 12th grade student, swimming team captain and national team swimmer Demirkan Demir achieved great success at the Long Distance National Team Selections held between 28th November – 2nd December, in Istanbul.
Our student, who was at the top of the list in the 4 races he participated in, broke his own record (2.17.44) with 1 second, clocking 2.16.38 in the 17-18 year olds breaststroke category.
Demirkan Demir who broke the Turkish record belonging to Emre Sakçı clocking 1.03.06’ at the 100 metres Breaststroke morning selections, broke his own record at the evening selections clocking 1.02.65′.
Demirkan Demir was far beyond his rivals at the 50-100-200 metres breaststroke and mixed races; and became the champion both at the selections and the finals.
With these results, our student also acquired the opportunity to take part in the 2019 World Youth Swimming Championship and Multination Youth Championship.
