Modafen students gave great performances and succeeded in many different sporting events in December.
At swimming, 10 Turkish Records in 10 days and our swimmers have been selected for the Turkish National Team.
Our high school student Demirkan Demir broke 4 Turkish records – clocking 01:07:29 in the 100m breaststroke; 04:43;53 in the 400m medley; 02:22:64 in the 200m breaststroke; 02:10:60 in the 200m medley races – at the National Team Selections held between 10-13 December 2015.
Demirkan Demir and Doğu Alpay, who gave great performances during the races and who have been selected for the National team, will represent our country at the international races.
Demirkan Demir also broke 4 Turkish records – clocking 00:59:48 in the 100 meters medley; clocking 00:59:22 in the 100m medley; 02:17:43 in the 200m breaststroke; and 02:06:37 in the 200m medley – at the semi-finals of the Turkcell Short Course Swimming Contest held in between 16-20 December 2015.
Galatasaray 15-16 years-old relay team, of which Doğu Alpay is one of the swimmers, broke Turkish records at 4x100m freestyle and 4x100m mixed relays
7 swimmers of 11-12 Years-Old Team will participate in the Turkish Championship
Our 11-12 years-old team which participated in the training at Modafen swimming Club, participated in the Olimpik Kulaçlar Türkiye Şampiyonası (Olympic Strokes Turkish Championship) Selections held between 25-27 December 2015. The names of the students who earned the right to participate at the Turkish National Championship, which will be held in Marmaris between 29-31 January 2016, by swimming under the minimum qualification times set by the swimming federation, are as follows:
We also congratulate our students Ceyda Yazıcı (Kınalıada), Şila Aktürk and Yaman Uzakgiden (Fenerbahçe) who also earned the right to participate in the above mentioned races to be held in Marmaris

Demirkan Kocaoluk, one of the swimmers of the Modafen Swimming Club, earned third place at the Optimist Half years Selection Cup held in Kocaoluk Çayırova and he will participate in the Turkish Championship to be organized in Bodrum.
Our football and basketball clubs have qualified for the next rounds:
Our youngest basketball team has qualified for the third round beating Fen Bilimleri Koleji 31-23 at the Istanbul Schools Basketball Championship.
In football, Modafen beat Ertuğrul Gazi Ortaokulu 1-0 and qualified for the second round of the İstanbul Schools Football Championship but were defeated 2-0 by İhsan Kurşunoğlu Ortakolu in the semi-finals.
