Our students, who are members of Modafen Karate Club or Karate Activities, got their new belts in the ceremony held in our school’s gymnasium. In the ceremony, which was opened with the speech of our school’s Karate Club founder, Dr. Osman Ateş, 120 young karate players took an exam in order to earn their new belts.
According to the results of the exams, held by Turkish Karate Federation once every four month, the successful karate players deserve to advance to the next belt.
Our young karate players performed kihon (basic technique), kata (organized movements performed single or in pair) and kumite (match with the rival) as asked by their coaches Müslüm Dursun and Osman Ateş in front of their parents in the exams held in our school on 20th February Saturday. Our students who earned the next dan’s belt successfully experienced great happiness, while our highly motivated EdukaKids and secondary school students were really excited. Therefore, our students took a major step on the way to the black belt.
