Our high school student Berke Saka participated in the World Junior Swimming Championship held in Budapest, Hungary on August 20-25.
Our student Berke Saka, who competes with his competitors 2 years older than him, broke the Turkey record by swimming 100 m backstroke with a 56.12 degree. He made the best rating by swimming 51.67 in 4 × 100 free flags in the 15-16 age category. He won the best rating by swimming 1.53.88 in 4 × 200 free flags. Also, he broke the Turkey record with 6 seconds by swimming 7.26.65.
In general ranking; he became 29th of the World at 100 backstroke /22nd of the World at 200 backstroke / 30th of the World at 200 medley / 11th of the World at 4×100 freestyle / 7th of the World at 4×200 freestyle.
He achieved great success in his age group; by becoming the 4th of the World at 100 backstroke / 3rd of the World at 200 backstroke / 7th of the World at 200 medley.
