Modafen Students have met another greatest novel of the world of literature: MOMO
“Momo”, written by the German author Michael Ende, who is well known for his fantastic children novels, and translated into around thirty different languages from all around the world, has been put onto the stage by Modafen Drama Club students. The play adapted by our drama teacher Derya Aslan for our 3rd and 4th grade students was admired by the audience.
During the rehearsal period in which we adopted an interdisciplinary approach, our music teacher Ali Polat and dance teacher Caner Peçenek composed three songs for our play “Momo”. Furthermore, our communication and drama teacher responsible for our mini cinema club – Mine Özveren, made some presentations on the theme of the play: “time”.
After working on the characters and analysing them deeply, our students chose their own costumes and enjoyed producing some props and accessories for the play on their own.
Having lived the adventure of putting a drama play on stage from the backstage to the scene, the students became aware that drama is a team effort and they were rewarded with the applause of their audience which made them feel very happy while going back home at the end of a very tiring performance day.
