Modafen’s Successful Participation to MGE (Model Government Europe)

Fourteen Modafen students participated at the MGE (Model Government Europe) Conference, which was held in between 30 March – 2 April.

The format of MGE is similar to that of MUN. Whereas MUN relates to the United Nations and its issues around the World, MGE plays out in Europe and the students take the roles of the various Ministers of the European countries. Therefore, the students are expected to use their English to discuss current topics in the European Union and European politics, and the connected matters around the World.
The main theme of the conference this year was: “Brexit continues to have a ripple effect across member countries of the EU, with a particular impact on free trade”. Relating to this theme, several unknown and unexpected “crises” erupted during the four days, meaning that the students had to think on their feet and find suitable solutions to the ever-evolving scenario.

With their fluent English and deep understanding of current-affairs, our students had a considerable impact on the conference. Several students earned mentions as “honourable delegates”, meaning that they had had a major influence over the four days.
We congratulate our students and wish them continued success in the future.
