On 14^th of April Friday, our 5^th grade students started to get to know the culture of the language they had chosen to study (German, French, Spanish and Russian) as the second foreign languages while having their breakfasts. Our students learnt about the culture the culture in which that language is used, by living it. The students who had chosen to learn German had their breakfast at Backhaus in Nişantaşı. They learnt about the German tastes and they tried “Brezel” and “Berliner”. They spoke German during the trip and they started to get to know German culture. Those who had chosen French were at Buyaka Mall Le pain Quotiden. They tasted French food there and learnt the meanings of these foods in French. For Spanish, our students were at Ranchero restaurant at Suadiye. They tasted Nachos and Mexican bean, Quesadilla, Burrito, Tacos and Mexican rice. After breakfast, they listened to Mexican music and they tried in traditional Mexican hats and clothes. They also had the chance of practicing their Spanish and they chatted with the chef of the restaurant on Mexican food. For Russian, our students cooked Russian food at their home and ate them all together in school. They explained each other how they cooked the food they had taken to school and so they shared information with each other.

At the end of the day our students learnt about the culture of the language they had chosen and they came back home with joy and happiness.
