First in the Turkish Swimming History! Modafen is Crowned World Champion

Modafen became the World Champion in High School Swimming Category, which is a record in Turkish swimming history!

Modafen Swimming Team participated in the 13th ISF World Schools Swimming Championships held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil between May 18 and 23 achieving great success. Our team has surpassed challenging countries like USA, Germany, China, Brazil and France and became Men’s World Champion in High School Swimming category.

Our students have made an indelible impression and have won the recognition of the audience, referees and rival teams since the first day of the event. Demirkan Demir, who gradually added achievements to his portfolio, has now become the “World Champion” thanks to his tremendous effort and success in 100-meter breaststroke category. Our mixed relay team of Berke Saka, Demirkan Demir, Emir Şimşek, Ekin Demirbaş displayed paramount performance and won the “World Championship” title at the 4×50-meter category. Freestyle relay team of Berke Saka, Demirkan Demir, Emir Şimşek, Ekin Demirbaş, Bedirhan Tamer and Efe Başar also became the “Runner Up” at the 6×50-meter freestyle category.

Our triumphant swimmers Berke Saka became the “Runner Up” at the 50-meter and 100-meter backstroke category; Demirkan Demir “Runner Up” at the 50-meter breaststroke and 200-meter freestyle; Demirkan Demir again “Third Place Finisher” at the 100-meter freestyle; Ekin Demirbaş “Runner Up” at the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter butterfly stroke; Emir Şimşek “Third Place Finisher” at the 50-meter butterfly stroke as our pride and joy.
