A Modafen graduate of the 2018-2019 academic year, Demirkan Demir won the Ivy League Championship in his first year at Columbia University.
Columbia, Harvard, Brown, Princeton, Yale, Cornell, UPenn, and Dartmouth College, which are among the most prestigious universities in the United States, competed in the “Ivy League” races. Demirkan Demir, our graduate student currently studying at Columbia University, won the Ivy League swimming championship with a timing of 51.93 in the 100 breaststrokes, beating out 25 other competitors. Demirkan, who had 8 seconds left to break the Ivy League record, was lauded.
