We are proud to celebrate the 95th anniversary of our Republic, entrusted to the Turkish youth by the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Our students stepped off their school buses with flags in their hands and were welcomed by their teachers alongside 29th October songs. The 29th October celebration started with a one-minute silence and was followed by the Turkish National Anthem in memory of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his fellow soldiers. After the National Anthem ceremony, our history teacher Yalçın Coşkun, delivered a speech about the importance of living in a democratic and modern country under the light of the republican ideas.
The ceremony was prepared with great respect by our students and teachers, and ended with songs sung by our school choir. After the ceremony was held in the school garden, a play was put on for our primary school students in their classrooms. At the same time our middle and high school students had a similar play showed in the conference hall. After some inspiring speeches made by our school principal Mehmet Durak and our teachers, the oratorio “Kuvai Milliye” prepared by our high school students increased the joy in the hall. The ceremony ended with the songs sung by our school choir.
We once again emphasised the importance and the meaning of our Republic with the shows we put on stage, the anthems sung, and the poems recited. The ceremony ended joyfully with the “10th Year Anthem”, sung altogether by the audience.
