The first matches of the 2016 Istanbul Youngsters Chess Tournament City Championship, organized by the Kartal Municipality and Turkish Chess Federation Istanbul City Agency, took place in Kartal.
The first session of the tournament, which will take in 5 different districts, was held in the Kartal UğurMumcu Center. The chess players from 12 different groups at the 7-12 years old girls and 7-12 years old General categories, had challenging matches. Our students from 2-D, Orhan Alp Akyol and Sinan Gencer, succeeded in getting the chance of participating in the Turkish Championship by winning all the matches they played.
